Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

I'm Caroline. I empower young adults to discover their potential and succeed.

Do you feel stuck or unsure about your next steps? You’re not alone. Many people face similar challenges, and therapy can help. By understanding yourself better, you can clear confusion and open up new opportunities. Deciding to start therapy is a significant step toward healing and personal growth.

In our sessions, you’ll find a supportive environment where you can share your story and gain direction. My background as a multicultural healer offers unique insights, especially if you’re ready to make changes but unsure where to begin. We’ll focus our discussions on topics that matter to you, ensuring our time together is both helpful and relevant.

Many clients have told me that our conversations have improved their self-understanding and boosted their confidence. We will address challenges related to your mental health, relationships, and self-esteem by using your strengths and support networks.

As a bicultural woman of color who has also experienced relocating to a new country and city, I understand the specific challenges faced by people with marginalized identities, particularly those in the BIPOC, immigrant, and international student/scholar communities. This empathy informs our sessions, helping you forge a healthy, affirming connection to your cultural heritage as you pursue your goals.

If you’re ready to take positive steps forward in a journey of self-discovery and change, I’m here to guide and support you. Let’s begin this transformative process together. On Being a Counselor

Navigating life’s tough choices can leave us feeling lost. It’s completely normal to seek professional guidance during these times. While advice from loved ones is invaluable, it can sometimes lead to more confusion.

As your counselor, I offer a supportive environment where we can explore your innermost thoughts and feelings. This process helps you connect with your inner wisdom and make empowered decisions that truly reflect your desires. We’ll address past traumas, manage emotional challenges, and develop effective strategies to navigate life’s complexities.

Practitioner Background

My counseling journey has been driven by a natural ability to listen and empathize—traits I've developed through rigorous academic study and practical experience. My education at Penn State, including roles at its Psychological Clinic and Office of Education and Social Equity, honed my skills in supporting a diverse clientele, especially those adapting to new cultural environments.

After completing my academic training, I established my practice in Chicago, where I've had the privilege of serving a broad spectrum of individuals. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, I've successfully worked with many who have migrated and might feel disconnected or in transition. I deeply understand the nuances of cultural adjustment and the feelings associated with being between worlds. Regardless of your background, I am skilled at navigating the complexities of your experiences and creating a space where your whole self is welcomed and valued.

If you are ready to begin your journey of self-discovery, I am here to support you with compassion and expertise. To schedule your first appointment, please click this link or contact me at [email protected]. I look forward to starting our work together.
